Development of a Quality Management System

Project Outline

From 2007 to 2012, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) promoted the development of a Quality Management System with funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

• The project dealt with the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS) which encompassed all subdivisions of the university.
• The focus lay on improving and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of the overall teaching.

Measures

The following measures were developed within the scope of the project and then implemented at GUtech:

• Development and implementation of a Quality Management System
• Evaluation of the lectures
• Quality assurance measures for students
• Development of a network for continuous adjustment of teaching based on the requirements of society and the Omani industry
